   I am not in the medical field but I think that all of the above can be caused either directly or indirectly by viruses. Some bacterial infections are secondary infections resulting from a virus.

   Most of the diseases that you mentioned are caused by viruses, except strep throat and tooth decay. I think they are caused by bacteria.

   small pox is caused by the variola virus
   measles by the rubeola virus
   bacterial meningitis by several bacteria (including meningococci)
   west nile is a flavivirus
   AIDS is the Human immunodeficiency virus
   The common cold can be a coronavirus a rhino virus, and others
   Influenza is caused by the influenza virus Type a which is an orthomyxovirus
   Tooth decay is caused by several bacteria
