To the people that stress the THEORY part in the Theory of Evolution, a theory is a misused term. A true scientific theory is not the same thing as an idea or hypothesis, as the term is often used in place of these words. A theory is the closest possible thing to fact, a theory is basically a compilation of experiments by numerous scientists that prove a single hypothesis or idea to be true without a shadow of doubt. Look up what a theory is in a college level biology book.
Environment only acts on survival rates, it has no hand in evolution other than that. You say the virus remains a virus…true, but arent gorillas and chimps both apes? You’re logic is incorrect Q&A Queen.
To booellis, Evolution never said humans evolved from gorillas. Matter O’ Fact, humans and chimps evolved BEFORE gorillas. Gorillas and humans are not related, gorillas evolved down a completely different line. Did you know chimps are more closely genetically similar to man than they are to Gorillas?
To the people that equate evolution to adaptation. Adaptation causing evolution would be like saying that because I lifted heavy objects my children would be born with the abbility to lift the same weight. ONLY GENETIC differences cause Evolution.

To Q&A Queen, all the cells in your body are exactly the same. The only thing that seperates them is their function in your body, I was trying to say a different virus is a different species from another species….just as gorillas are from chimps, dogs and wolves, house cats and lions, gold fish and sharks, humans and chimps, dogs and seals… I could do this all day.
A gorilla is not a subspecies of chimp either, an example of a chimp subspecies would be a Bonobo. An example of a Gorilla subspecies would be a mountain gorilla. You don’t know what you’re talking about Q&A Queen, I’m not trying to be a d*ck…. I just want to educate the uneducated so they are more ready to provide sound arguments.
To Captain Awesome the “super intelligent biologist” i did not say a chimps DNA was the closest to a mans, only that they were more closely related to us than gorillas. I’d like to know where you get your information. I’m a bio chem major and the FIRST college Bio class I took was 112….far ahead of 101 on my campus. I’d like you to give a scientific journal (not website link) where you get your information, or any degree you might hold. Oh, and since you’re so intellient do you think you could explain electrophilic substitution to me? I mean, that should be a small task for someone as intelligent as you.
To Captain Awsome, In the Bio Anthropology class I took a few years back I thought random mutation did cause changes in the GENETIC material causing evolution. Maybe Crick, Mendel, Wallace, Darwin, etc. are all wrong and need to listen to what you have to say….after all you Do “believe” in evolution and are a Christian at the same time so you could in no way be biased.
