I am travelling to India and will be there for 16 days. I will primarily be in some villages/small towns about 200 mi away from Bombay and also will be spending few days in Pune, and possibly Kolaphur. May also make a short trip to Goa.
My dr. gave me a Hepatatis A vaccine, Typhoid vaccine, and a tetatanus vaccine. I also have my flu shot.

Are there other vaccines I need to get and also–do I need to get a prescription for an anti-malaria drug?

thank you!

My luck, now that I’ve figured this out, I’ve jinxed myself and I’m gonna get the flu in the next few days..

I have caught every cold and bug under the sun since I was a kid. My mother enstilled in me the habit of going to the doctor when I was sick and getting tested to figure out exactly what it was making me sick.

The only allergy I have is sulfur/ eggs. The influenza vaccine is egg based and thus I have never taken it.

Despite all of this, I have never caught the flu once in my life. I’m sure I’ve been exposed to it thousands of times, but I have never had an adverse reaction.

Is it possible to be immune to influenza?

Could it have anything to do with my egg allergy?
