Say Goodbye to Psoriasis
Hello,
It really depends on your environment and risk factors. Being around children brings on a WHOLE new breed of germs. Check with your doctor and evaluate your enviroment.

NO do not get it. It creates more problems than it helps, not to mention vaccinations have nasty things in them like mercury and phermaldahyde. Dont get a vaccination if you dont have to. The flu vaccine is just another way for the pharmaceutical industry to make more money.

I am in my sixties and never had one…
I read that once you get the first one, you MUST have them every year after…. something to consider, eh?
It’s a gamble….

It is never a bad idea – lack of previous infection has no bearing on your susceptibility to future infection (in fact, not having it in the past means you probably do not have immunity against any of the major circulating strains). It will not do any harm and will provide protection against this year’s major strains.
Mike: mercury derivatives have been used in vaccines since the 30s and have never been linked to harm in the infinitesimally small doses involved. In any case, there are mercury-free flu shots/spray out there currently. “Phermaldahyde” is a nonexistant molecule, and the fact that you can’t spell “formaldehyde” correctly underlies your lack of knowledge on this topic.
JustSo: if you get one shot, you are not required to continue getting shots the next year if you do not want to. The vaccine changes every year as the flu virus mutates, so last year’s vaccine won’t give you much protection against this year’s major players, but there is no reason you must continue getting shots.

At your age, your immune system is at its best. You probably don’t need one at this time. Also, I’m not convinced that the vaccination is harmful either.

A common misconception is that the flu vaccine is the same. This actually wrong. Every year, scientists predict the most likely strain that will affect people that season and then make vaccines towards that strain. If you’re not in the category of the elderly, children, or the ill/sick then I find no real need to get a vaccine. Getting the flu vaccine this year will not protect you from different strains in the future.
