I usually decline the Flu Shot (because I know that they’re injecting you with actual Influenza, and that thought scares the crap out of me), but the doctor explained that they’re not injecting you with HPV, but a protein.
Though I know Gardasil is fairly new, I was wondering if there were any known side effects or unusual cases of strange symptoms due to the vaccine? Is there any reason to not get it? Is there more information you could give me about this?

Cure Your Psoriasis Now!
I am not sure of the negative side effects but I am interested in seeing what you find out. My doctor has recommended Gardasil to me due to abnormal paps too.

There are about 100 virusees that cause HPV, the vaccine only protects for about 3 of them which are the most common, the vaccine is new and they are actually talking about giving it to 50 year old women and maybe even boys and men in the future
the problem with the disease is that you can get it from other things, not juts sex, fluids, etc for example. Its the age group of around 12-13 that is the best targeted area thats why the doctors are pushing the vaccine, but I’ve tal;kled to a lot of fathers who have daughters and they are not in a rush. The idea behinf this is that you cant have multiple sex partners, maybe wait til youre married and make sure the guy is clean and thoughtful just as you are

I thought that this vaccine was only effective if you had not already been exposed to the virus. That is why they are planning to give it to kids before they are old enough to start having sex. So why are they giving it to you if you have already been sexually active? It sounds to me that your doctor is trying to make a few extra bucks by giving you a shot that is no use at all to you.
I haven’t read up on Gardasil particularly, but I am an immunologist by training and just finishing a PhD in vaccine design. It is definitely a good idea to check for yourself – it sounds like you are on the case!

I think that the vaccine is way too new. There is not too much research and people have actually died from the vaccine. I would rather take my chances of getting HPV. Besides if the vaccine only contains 3 viruses and there are 100, it is really not doing too much. I would avoid the shot.
