Tamiflu is a medicine used in influenza. It may help ease the symptoms of ‘flu. Tamiflu contains oseltamivir. Tamiflu is not indicated for the common cold. Tamiflu was approved for influenza A and B. prophylaxis.

The most common causative agent for the common cold is the rhinovirus. Tamiflu is not affective against the rhinovirus.
