My luck, now that I’ve figured this out, I’ve jinxed myself and I’m gonna get the flu in the next few days..
I have caught every cold and bug under the sun since I was a kid. My mother enstilled in me the habit of going to the doctor when I was sick and getting tested to figure out exactly what it was making me sick.
The only allergy I have is sulfur/ eggs. The influenza vaccine is egg based and thus I have never taken it.
Despite all of this, I have never caught the flu once in my life. I’m sure I’ve been exposed to it thousands of times, but I have never had an adverse reaction.
Is it possible to be immune to influenza?
Could it have anything to do with my egg allergy?
