I have observed that if I get the flu vaccine I get the flu; if I do NOT get the flu vaccine I do NOT get the flu. When one gets a vaccine they are being injected with dead or “harmless” amounts of living flu virus.
The common cold is different than the flu.

Flu is caused by influenza virus where as common cold is caused by a number of different viruses – one of the common belongs to rhinovirus family.
Vaccine does not cause flu – but there seems to be weak link showing that vaccines may change our immune response altering and causing possible harm – i.e. autism.

Say Goodbye to Psoriasis
No, the flu vaccine cannot cause the flu. Some people get a mild fever and reaction after the vaccine but this purely an immune response and will go away quickly. The vaccine contains proteins which are similar to the the viral coating of the flu virus. Exposing you to the vaccine allows you body to “learn” an appropriate and immediate response to the flu virus if it is ever exposed to it. The immune system will immediately “attack” the virus and prevent it from becoming a full blown infection i.e. the flu. Nevertheless, you can still get the flu even if you had the vaccine. Two reasons why this may occur – your immune system may not react sufficiently to the flu virus but usually you will get less severe symptoms if you get the flu although you had taken the vaccine. Second reason is that the flu virus mutates so fast that you may get a different strain of the flu from the vaccine you had taken.
The common cold and the flu are two different things. The flu is caused by the influenza virus that constantly mutates. Which is why last year’s flu virus will not be useful for this years pandemic. The common cold is caused by a range of rhinoviruses which are present in most enviroments all the time and attack when the immune system is low.

The vaccine can prevents you from getting the flu, and it you do get it, makes you less sick and helps you recover faster. It does not cause flu.
The common cold is not the flu, they are different diseases caused by different viruses. The common cold is mild with cough, runny nose and gets better in a week to 10 days. Flu is severe with fever, weakness, cough, runny nose, lose of appetite and it can take 3-6 weeks to recover.
The Province of Ontario in Canada has been providing free flu vaccinations for every resident for several years. Compared to other areas that do not provide the vaccine, Ontario has seen thousands fewer cases, cutting the death rate from flu in half and reducing the number of visits to doctors for flu by 60%.
