I just read an article on yahoo.news about this. There is a trial of the vaccine – which needs VOLUNTEERS. They say you can’t get HIV from the vaccine . . . Do you believe that? How many times have you gotten the flu directly after getting a flu shot? Wouldn’t the risks of infection be the same? The article states that 368 participants became infected with HIV after enrollment in the trial . . .
With all that being said: Would you volunteer for this trial?
I wouldn’t….. I’m too scared. There are somethings you just can’t undo . . . and I wouldn’t want knowingly volunteering for HIV to be one of my regrets.

Acapulco – This question is about a vaccine! Would you allow yourself to be a test subject for a vaccine, when they say it is perfectly safe – but the disease is HIV? This is not a question of safe or unsafe sex.
Acapulco – oops sorry, I think I misunderstood your answer. If you meant that no, you wouldn’t do it because you have no need for it (as you won’t be contracting the disease via sex) Then I owe you an apology.
But think of this first: There are more ways than just sex to get HIV. The vaccine would be protecting you from the other ways like a blood transfusion, organ transplant, accidental contamination via an open wound, etc.

!st, you can’t get the flu from the flu shot because it uses dead viruses, so thats impossible. It is possible to get a little sick and feel crappy as your body responds to the antagonistic vaccine, which it’s suppose to do. As for the HIV vaccine, sure I would as long as it used dead Viruse then it would be safe. If the trial used weakend virus this is possible but why hasn’t been alll over the news if this were true? I would be sckeptical…

Well, you do know that you get the flu after the flu shot because they inject you with a type of flu that isn’t as bas as the BAD flu? It’s so your immune system can figure out the weakness points in the virus so it can be destroyed. With this HIV vaccine, it’s probably just a lesser form of HIV that can be easily killed off by the immune system, so that if you ever do get HIV, your body will know how to get rid of it.
