my boyfriend has been sick for the past day or so, high Fever & seal like cough & coughing up clear like crap. I’m guessing he’s caught cold or he’s just got croup, He’s delt with influenza in the past & im scared that the influenza may kick in & make him worse….what should i do?

    Since he has had a previous history of influenza, you should definitely have him to go the doctor. Pneumonia or a dozen other things could sneak up on him and he could wind up getting extremely sick.

    Hopefully it’s just a cold and something they can treat quickly.

    Croup is for children. He most likely simply has a cold.

    How old is he? croup or laryngotracheobronchitis is an disease that usually affects children or young teens! since he had an episode of influenza few days back[??] i guess its better to consult with a doctor.. Because Croup causes swelling of the vocal chords, it does make it harder to breathe. Some children may have enough trouble breathing that they can become very lethargic, become pale, and even become bluish from lack of oxygen. In these cases, seek medical attention immediately. Doctors can administer steroid to relieve the swelling and enable the child to breathe easier.
